New Boston United manager Graham Drury has swooped to sign Jordan Smith from Ilkeston FC.

Smith, who can play as a winger or striker, previously played under Drury for both Corby Town and Stamford AFC.

The 24-year-old netted 14 times for Corby last season and moved to Ilkeston in October after starting the current campaign at Stamford.

He joins from the Derbyshire outfit - who play in the Evo-Stick Northern Premier League - in time for the Pilgrims’ match against Altrincham on Saturday.

Smith’s time at the New Manor Ground proved frustrating as he was forced to sit out a number of games cup tied. He scored just one goal, to earn The Robins a point against Marine.
