New man in charge, but same outcome for Boston United! FA Trophy tie at Witton postponed again

For the second time in four days Boston United and their supporters arrived at Wincham Park, only for the FA Trophy tie to fail to be played.

While Saturday’s contest was abandoned at half time with the Albs leading 1-0, last night’s clash fell foul of a pitch inspection, held a mere 45 minutes before kick off.

A frozen pitch was the reason given for last night’s postponement, as opposed to heavy fog in the first failed attempt.

The match is now planned to be played on Tuesday (December 6), the winners hosting Chester FC.
