Newsham and Garner out of Boston United clash... but will new signing Hall get his chance?

Scott Garner and Marc Newsham have both been ruled out of Boston United’s clash with Barrow today (KO 3pm).

Leading scorer Newsham has bagged eight goals this season and boss Dennis Greene hoped he would be fit for action this afternoon.

However, his ankle injury - which saw him sit out of Saturday’s FA Cup victory at Stafford Rangers, the first match he has missed in 75 contests - has not fully recovered.

Central defender Garner will not play due to the gash on his head, picked up during the 3-2 home defeat to Bradford Park Avenue.

For today’s clash, Greene has kept faith with the XI which started the 4-0 success at Stafford seven days ago.

Indu Aujla - who made his debut last week at Stafford - and Jake Hall, who moved to York Street from Boreham Wood yesterday, both start on the bench.

Barrow will hand a debut to midfielder Keith Briggs, who has joined on loan from FC Halifax Town.

Former Pilgrim Greg Mills will also start as a substitute.
