Boston United suffered their first defeat of the Skrill North season when they went down at North Ferriby. How did the players rate?

Ashley Timms - 6 (out of 10)

Was left exposed for the three Ferriby goals. But apart from that, he wasn’t called upon to make a real stop.

Peter Bore - 6

Like many of the side playing their fourth game in 10 days, Bore looked a little off the pace. But that didn’t stop his trying to get forward and help out in attack.

Netan Sansara - 6

Not at his best and was on the receiving end of a crunching challenge from Danny Hone early on in the contest.

Conor Marshall - 6

Covered every blade of grass. But often found himself outnumbered and overpowered by the Ferriby midfield.

Scott Garner - 6

Came so close to getting on the scoresheet, but was denied by Nicklin’s tremendous save and forced a second header over the crossbar.

Carl Piergianni - 7 STAR MAN

Part of a defence which conceded three times, but still arguably the team’s top performer. Made a number of important blocks.

Ian Ross - 7

Always looking for that killer pass and came within a whisker of a consolation with a late swerving free kick.

Ben Milnes - 6

Saw a couple of efforts from distance fail to hit the target. Also found himself booked for a cynical shoulder charge on Jamie Yates as he was looking to break.

Ricky Miller - 6

Had one of the Pilgrims’ few attempts at goal. Did well to get the better of the towering Danny Hone, but couldn’t find the target.

Marc Newsham - 6

Full of running and stood up to the physical battle extremely well. But he just couldn’t get a sight of goal.

Spencer Weir-Daley - 6

Twisted and turned in the box with the ball at his feet. But SWD just couldn’t pick out those vital passes after getting into position well. Replaced by Ben Fairclough.

SUBSTITUTES

Ben Fairclough (for Weir-Daley 65) - 6

Thought he was through on goal, but the offside flag denied him a strike.

Stefan Galinski (for Sansara 65) - 6

The defender has had to wait his chance this season. But played a good solid cameo in defence.

Charley Sanders (for Miller 80) - 5

The target man was a late arrival as Boston looked to pump balls into the Ferriby box. But nothing fell to him.

Not used: James Reed, Sam Vince.
