UNITED have swooped for Scunthorpe United left-back Rory Coleman on a month’s loan.
The 20-year-old was close to joining the Pilgrims in November, but illness put paid to his proposed move.
With regular left-back Gareth Jelleyman struggling with injury, Rob Scott and Paul Hurst have moved again for Coleman, making him eligible for last night’s clash against Hinckley United at The Jakemans Stadium.
Coleman scored seven times in 12 appearances during a loan spell at Harrogate Town last season.
Hurst told the club’s website: “We had made enquiries about Rory back in November and he was set to join us, but illness at the time scuppered his move.
“We have continued to monitor his progress and have now made our move.
“He can play at left-back or further forward on the left-hand side, so he will increase our options in both positions.”
Coleman is the second player to join the Pilgrims on loan from Scunthorpe United this season, following John Williams, who made two substitute appearances for the club in the FA Trophy.
