Grant Roberts is adamant that Guiseley and Chorley have all the work to do in the quest for a Vanarama North play-off spot.
The Pilgrims’ major top five rivals still have games in hand following last night’s fixtures, with Guiseley having played two less contests than United and Chorley with three additional matches to get through.
If both those sides win those games then they will create clear daylight between themselves and Boston.
But Roberts admits he would rather have points on the board than the pressure-filled task of having to record two good results a week in the season’s run-in.
“They’ve got games in hand but they still need to win those matches,” he said.
“Guiseley and Chorley have games in hand, but if they don’t pick up as many points anything can happen.
“We’ll just concentrate on our matches and that’s all we can really do - control the controllables and then hopefully we can sneak into the top five at the end of the season.
“We’ve definitely got the squad to do it, we’ve got strength in depth and still going into next year we’re still looking really strong.”
