Dennis Greene believes that Boston United are the best side in the Vanarama North - and he is is challenging his squad to prove it.
The Pilgrims are the division’s form team at present, having recorded six wins and two draws from their past eight contests.
And as he prepares his charges for Saturday’s crunch clash at Solihull Moors - which could cement United’s place in the play-offs - Greene is calling on his team to keep that unbeaten run going.
“We’re doing great,” he said.
“We are the best team in this league in this moment of time, and we just need to keep trying to improve to get in the play-offs and show we’re the best team in the league.
“I don’t want to dribble into the play-offs and not be in good form.”
If Boston, currently fourth in the standings, win at Damson Park (KO 3pm) then a top-five finish would be assured if Tamworth fail to leave title-chasing Barrow with three points.
But even if the Lambs were to win at Holker Street, Boston would only need a draw at Solihull to go into the final day of the season with the upper hand, due to their superior goal difference.
