A RARE collectors’ goal from Kevin Austin was enough for Boston United Reserves earn a 1-0 Lincs League victory over Horncastle Town.

Austin blasted home the matchwinner on 20 minutes, following a Liam Ogden corner, last night.

The 38-year-old has only ever scored eight first-team goals in his 22-year professional career.

His only Pilgrims goal came in December, during the 2-1 FA Trophy victory over Hyde.

But those at the Jakemans Stadium witnesses another rare finish as he was drafted into the second string to get match action, following a spell on the bench.

The Pilgrims dominated the first half, but failed to take further chances, eventually holding on for a 1-0 win.
