Boston United’s dubious record is no more.

For most of the Blue Square Bet North season, basement side Hinckley only had one tick in the win column.

Hinckley celebrate their winner at Boston.

Hinckley celebrate their winner at Boston.

That came courtesy of a 2-1 victory at York Street in the third game of the campaign.

And as the season progressed and the Knitters just couldn’t pick up another three points, it seemed that United could finish up as the only team to be defeated by the now relegated side.

That was until last night, when Hinckley chalked up their second win - and first home victory - of the 2012-13 season.

They put Corby Town to the sword with a 6-3 success... 34 matches after their last success.

Before last night, Boston were the only side to have beaten promoted Chester FC and the only team to have lost to relegated Hinckley.

Now, only the part of that record the Pilgrims can be proud of still stands.
