Charlie Roberts and Ben Troops both scored half centuries as Boston Cricket Club’s Third XI claimed a convincing win at Belton Park Seconds.
Roberts recorded 64 runs and Troops supported him with an unbeaten 57 in Saturday’s South Lincs and Border League Division Two contest.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Mayflower men set about posting 247-5 after their 45 overs.
Ably adding support were openers Graham Porter (31) and Sean Barnett (20) while Andy Hardstaff finished on an unbeaten 22.
Boston ensured their 99-run victory was complete by ensuring the hosts could only finish their innings on 148-9.
Michael Troops led the way with the ball, claiming three wickets for the loss of 25 runs.
Steve Appleyard (2-21) and Harry Laidlow (2-24) also dismissed opponents.
Tom Appleyard (1-28) also got in the act while Sam Holland added a run out.
The weather played havoc with this week’s cricket action.
Boston’s Second XI saw their South Lincs and Border League Division One contest at Friskney abandoned.
On Sunday, the same fate befell Boston’s Sunday Firsts, who were meant to face Middle Rasen in the Lincoln and District League Premier Division, while the Sunday Second’s conceded their contest against Scothern.
In the East Lindsey Leagues, Freiston, Leake and Leverton’s match at Skegness and Graves Park’s clash at Sutton on Sea were both cancelled.
