Alex Simmons will have to wait for his second Boston United debut, after being named on the bench for today’s contest against FC United of Manchester.
The 19-year-old has returned to York Street for his second loan spell from parent club Lincoln City.
Simmons made four appearances for United last season before being recalled by the Red Imps.
Dennis Greene granted the young striker one start and three appearances from the bench, his final run out included his only goal for the club - a fine lob to seal a 5-1 victory over Guiseley.
To date this campaign he has bagged two National League goals - at the expense of Forest Green Rovers and Boreham Wood.
The only change to the Boston starting XI which drew 2-2 at Telford last week is defender Zak Mills, back from injury.
He replaces Cameron Johnson, allowing Scott Garner to move forward from defence to midfield.
However, defender Richard Jones and wingers Jay Rollins and Kaine Felix remain sidelined,
FC United - who were promoted to the division this summer - currently sit 15th in the National League North.
They haven’t managed to score a league goal since beating Corby Town 1-0 on September 12... a run of four games without finding the back of the net.
Incidentally, those four matches have all been defeats, FC United losing to AFC Fylde, Stalybridge Celtic, Worcester City and North Ferriby United.
In contrast, the Pilgrims are unbeaten in fouyr matches.
The two sides have met five times previously, four Northern Premier League contests and an FA trophy fixture between 2008 and 2010.
The Pilgrims have won four of those games, but FC United’s victory did come at York Street.
