The family that owns Boston United’s current York Street ground has wished the club good luck with its plans for a new stadium.
Andrew Malkinson, son of owner Pat, spoke as it prepares to end its 80-year association with the ground.
Mr Malkinson said: “It doesn’t really change things for us at the moment. They have got a four year lease but good luck to them. We have got our options open at the moment. There will be a lot of interest in the site, we have had a lot over the years.”
The family’s relationship with the club dates back to the 1930s with Pat also operating as chairman.
Andrew added: “We want to see them do well. They are doing well at the moment and it would be nice to see them back in the Football League.”
