Goalkeeper Ashley Timms has left Boston United.
The 28-year-old began the season as the Pilgrims’ first-choice stopper.
But he has not featured in the past 14 matches, after making two high-profile errors in the club’s 3-2 defeat at Brackley Town.
Since then he has slipped behind Lewis King and Sam Vince in the pecking order.
“Boston United Football Club announces that Ashley Timms’ playing contract has been terminated by mutual consent,” a club statement read.
“Both parties are pleased that a mutually beneficial arrangement has been reached which will enable Ashley to move forward ith his playing career.”
Timms made 17 appearances, keeping four clean sheets.
Writing on his Facebook page, Timms wrote: “I have today left Boston United by mutual consent.
“I wish the club all the best in the future and thank the fans for all their support.”
