Jason Stokes last night became the latest ex-Boston United player to join county rivals Gainsborough Trinity.
The popular winger will be eligible to line up for the Blues as they host United in a Blue Square Bet North Lincolnshire derby tomorrow (KO 3pm).
Stokes was free to move to the Northolme after being released by Boston manager Graham Drury.
However, his switch will frustrate fans as it comes just a fortnight after Mark Jones’ move across the county.
The big striker left York Street after the Blues made what manager Drury called an ‘unbelievable offer’.
In the summer of 2011, Trinity also convinced out-of-contract Shane Clarke and Jamie Yates to move from United to Gainsborough.
Trinity also have fellow ex-Boston players Dominic Roma, Jonathan Williams and Sam Mulready on their books.
Meanwhile, United’s Ian Ross, Marc Newsham and Paul Mayo all spent spells at the Northolme.
Boston won 2-1 in the league fixture at York Street earlier this season.
