“We’ll treat it more like a normal match!” Greene to stop tinkering with Boston United line-up

Boston United boss Dennis Greene says it’s time to stop mixing and matching his squad.

The Pilgrims travel to Biggleswade Town for a pre-season friendly this evening (KO 7.45pm).

And despite taking a mixture of his first team and trialists, perhaps a few youngsters as well, Greene has pledged the upcoming contests will take the shape more similar to competitive fixtures.

He told The Standard: “We’ll keep taking this squad and we’ll take our trialists again.

“But what we’ll do is treat it more like a normal match.

“We only made four subs (against Mansfield on Saturday).

“We didn’t throw six on at half time.

“So we treat them more like matches now, the players are all ready and they’re all fit.”

Gary Mills (Achilles) and Stefan Galinski (calf) are expected to be rested this evening.

However, trialists Indy Aujla, Eliott Green and Billy Bennett should travel.
