JASON Lee wants to put a dent in FC Halifax Town’s promotion bid this afternoon.

Boston United travel to face the Shaymen today (KO 3pm).

As well as wanting a quick turnaround following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Harrogate, Lee is keen to still have a say in the promotion race.

“As a player, if I was playing against a side facing relegation, I wanted to send them down, and so we go to Halifax wanting to put a dent in their promotion (bid),” said Lee.

“We need to vastly up our game, as we know what an important match that is for Halifax.

“It will be a good atmosphere and another test.”

Ian Ross will return to the squad following his omission on Saturday, part of the agreement that saw him join from Harrogate earlier this season.

Teenager James Reed, who impressed in his Blue Square Bet North debut on Saturday, is also in contention for a start.

Halifax currently sit in sixth, a place and a point behind Stal;ybridge, who currently hold the final play-off spot.
