Boston Town 6

A GARY Bull-inspired hat-trick gave Boston Town victory over basement club Rothwell Corinthians on Monday.

In their first outing since November 27, Boston stormed into a two-goal lead with only seven minutes on the clock with Gary Bull and Alex Beck notching.

However, one minute later the deficit had been reduced when Tony Ielapi scored for the strugglers.

Dan Schiavia restored Town’s two-goal advantage on nine minutes in a fast and furious opening exchange.

But back came Rothwell through Ielapi on 22 minutes to make it 3-2 and all to play for.

Town were not to be denied and pushed on to score two more goals before the break, Bull on 40 minutes and Beck on the stroke of half time.

The second half was a more sedate affair but Bull completed his hat-trick with a 70th minute penalty.

The game was all the more remarkable for Ben Cole scoring all six of Rovers’ goals. Owen Morgan and Curtis Yeatman replied for Town Reserves.

This Saturday the reserves are away at Burton Park Wanderers Reserves in the league.
