Boston Town’s six-game unbeaten run was ended at Cogenhoe United on Saturday.

On a day where a number of UCL Premier fixtures were postponed due to waterlogged pitches, the Cooks and the Poachers did battle.

And the contest was settled in the 61st minute, when Tom Liversidge netted from the penalty spot to sink Nathan Collins’ side.

The result saw Town drop a place to 15th, goal difference allowing Sleaford to move above them.

Meanwhile, Cogenhoe are up to third.

Boston now host Desborough on Saturday (KO 3pm).
