Boston Town went down 2-0 against title-chasing AFC Kempston Rovers on Saturday.

But Jason Callaby’s side didn’t make it easy for the away team as James Doughty saved a first-half penalty to keep the Poachers in with a chance.

Alex Beck also saw an effort disallowed and Jordan Nuttell’s header was denied by a good block.

Domenico Marsala gave Kempston a 37th-minute lead to atone for his spot kick, and their advantage was doubled in the final 45 as Robbie Goodman was on target to leave Rovers second in the standings.
