Fishtoft youngsters end Lincoln's unbeaten run

The victory saw Lincoln’s unbeaten start to the season ended after eight games.

And Fishtoft, who are also in the county cup and League Cup semi-finals, are now nine points behind the leaders with four games in hand.

Fishtoft started the game brightly and were awarded a penalty in the fourth minute.

Jay Adams fizzed the ball into Alex Kendrick, who was bundled over inside the box.

George Drury stepped up to take the penalty and he calmly placed it into the middle of the net.

United saw an effort denied by Blues keeper Adam Marsh before Fishtoft were reduced to 10 men with Jay Adams sent off for retaliation.

In the second half, Fishtoft had a great chance early on to double their lead but Jack Skinner’s turn was followed up by sliced effort.

Lincoln looked for an equaliser but Fishtoft hit them on the counter-attack when Bailey Noe played Ope Sowande through, the striker slotting the ball into the bottom corner.
