The Doughboys - who also struck the woodwork twice - were leading 1-0 at the time, but the Poachers had threatened, especially with Hungarian striker Bence Farago beating keeper Aaron Bellairs but seeing his goalbound effort stick in the mud.

The abandonment sees the Poachers drop to 21st in the UCL Premier.

A below-par performance saw Boston Town earn a 1-1 draw at home to Harrowby United last Wednesday night.

Boston were without Lori Borbely, Jordan Nuttell and Michael Wood but took a first-half lead through Grant Butler’s header.

However, Lloyd Hanratty pulled the Arrows level six minutes after the break.

Young keeper Harry Payne, a member of the Boston United youth set-up, made some vital saves for the Poachers, who saw Simon Ashton hit the bar with a header.
