In-form Josh Ford can continue scoring the goals for Boston Town, says manager Ian Dunn.
The youngster netted twice on Saturday as the Poachers beat Great Yarmouth Town 3-2 in their FA Cup extra-preliminary round clash.
“Josh is still learning a lot,” Dunn said.
“But he’s got all the attributes to score a lot of goals.
“I think he’ll cause a lot of defences a lot of trouble this season.”
Ford has now scored three goals in three matches for Town, after finishing last season as the club’s top scorer, bagging 20.
However, Dunn is not putting pressure on Ford to repeat the feat.
He added: “I’ve not set him a target.
“I’m sure Josh will want to better last season’s total, but that’s for him. I think that playing alongside Liam Nimmo will help him.”
Lori Borbely gave Town an early lead against the Bloaters on Saturday, but the Eastern Counties Division One side refused to lie down.
“We didn’t help ourselves at times,” Dunn added.
“We didn’t keep possession well and we didn’t take as many chances as we should have.
“But I think we will click and when that happens we’ll score a lot of goals against somebody soon.”
Town face two UCL Premier fixtures this week.
On Saturday, they travel to face AFC Kempston Rovers (KO 3pm).
That will be followed by Tuesday’s visit to Yaxley (KO 7.45pm).
