Wyberton Wildcats will be hosting a free taster session to encourage more girls to take up football.

The Cats are one of a number of clubs in the county who are taking part in the Lincolnshire FA’s Girls and Goals scheme.

This will begin with a free training session at the Wyberton playing fields this Saturday.

The morning’s training runs from 10.30am to noon.

From then on, sessions will cost £2.50 per week.

The course is open to all girls in school years four, five and six.

It is hoped that the eight clubs taking part in the scheme will help create enough interest in girls’ football, leading to the formation of an under 12s girls’ league across the county next season.

Anyone interested in the scheme is asked to email Derek Elmhirst at
edirk2000@yahoo.com or call him on 01507 343631 to book their place.

Training will take place outdoors.
