Carp continue to feed well on Falcon Lake, and Jimmy Brooks made the most of that by winning Westwood Lakes’ Sunday Open.

From peg three, Brooks claimed a 145lb 8oz haul, taking full advantage of his draw.

Janusz Kedzierski was a close second with Rick Tweddle and Adam Swain further behind.

In the over 50s Open Match on Thursday Jeff Duggan was the top rod on Skylark Lake with a catch of 62lbs 10oz.

Jeff fished across to the island on red maggot to catch carp, F1s, ide and barbel.

Results: 1 Jeff Duggan (Westwood Lakes) 62lbs 10oz, 2 Steve Gregory (Middy/Miracle Baits) 45lbs 2oz, 3 Paul Oglisbee (Westwood Lakes) 35lbs 12oz, 4 Paul Quinton (Westwood Lakes) 33lbs 10oz.

Falcon Lake hosted the Tuesday Open.

Steve Reid won by more than 20lbs when he competed at the Tuesday Open on Falcon Lake, with a return of more than 150lbs.

Steve caught on banded pellet shallow from peg 47 for a mainly F1 and carp bag of fish.
