James double keeps Boston Town on the road to Wembley

TOM James bagged a brace as Boston Town came from behind to earn an FA Cup victory at Glossop North End.

The teenager netted in the 26th and 84th minutes in Derbyshire, as the Poachers were forced to overcome their physically combative opponents.

Town went a goal down as Glossop netted early on, but Alex Beck also found the target to hand the visitors a half-time lead in thsi extra-preliminary round contest.

After the break Gary Bull gave Boston a two-goal cushion.

James put the contest beyond doubt before North End found a late consolation.

Town now travel to Heanor in the preliminary round on September 3.
