Leverton SFC and Park United played out the second annual Dickie Dales Memorial cup final - and although Leverton ran out 6-1 winners, Macmillan Cancer Support were the real winners.
A total of £1,100 was raised for the charity.
Nathan Hubbert opened the scoring for Leverton in a match where the torrential rain couldn’t damage spirits.
Leverton captain Alex Tilley fired home to double the advantage before Jake Portas then slotted home a penalty to make the score 3-0.
Hubbert headed his second goal of the game, but this time into his own net, to make the score 3-1.
Liam Shinn then rounded off a slick move to slot home Leverton’s fourth, before man-of-the-match Adam Abell ran the Park defence ragged to score two great goals.
