Liam Adams’ dreams of becoming a professional footballer could begin in July, after the 15-year-old winger has been awarded a two-year schoolboy scolarship with Championship side Nottingham Forest.
The Haven High Academy pupil has been on the two-time European champions’ radar since joining them three seasons ago.
Liam, who will train and study five days a week before preparing for a match on Saturdays , said: “I am delighted and excited to get going. I really enjoy playing for Forest and can’t wait to start working hard and see where it takes me.”
The academy has given him £300 towards kit, travel and other expenses.
