Boston’s Magnet Tavern football club have won the Spalding Sunday League title for the fourth season running.
The Tavern were presented with the trophy at Garfits Lane, where they play their home fixtures.
Jonathon Amess, representing the league, presented the cup to Magnet manager Marcus Judd, who has been involved in Sunday League football in the town for the past 31 years.
Marcus said: “It was a great honour to be presented with the league winners’ cup, the players insisted I collected the trophy.
“It was a bit of a sad occasion for me as that was my last game due to me stepping down from Sunday Football.
The Magnet have now applied to enter a side into the play in the Lincolnshire League.
Judd added: “We have had players asking to play in the Lincolnshire League for a while now, and we think the time is right for us to progress at a higher level.”
