They secured a 2-1 victory in the opening match of the UCL Premier League campaign, but Town are desperate for some revenge.

Poachers midfielder and board member Borbely has agreed to return to the dug-out to temporarily take charge of team affairs following the resignation of Nathan Collins.

Borbely will be assisted by Darren Bevan, who’s currently heading up Boston Town’s new Development Squad.

According to bostontownfc.co.uk , the pair will be in charge for next few games until a permanent new manager is appointed.

Borbely has twice taken on caretaker duties but previously decided to concentrate on playing, having made more than 400 appearances for the DWB Stadium side..

Bevan holds a UEFA B coaching licence and his new under 17s side are scheduled to kick off their first campaign in the Mid Lincs County A league on September 4.

Jason Callaby, who ended last season as Town’s interim manager, was believed to be favourite for the role.

But he is understood to have declined an approach.

Collins departed last week with Town having lost their opening four league games and their FA Cup qualifier against Wisbech.
