Penalty misery for Wildcats

WYBERTON Wildcats exited the National Aces football tournament after a semi-final penalty shootout.

The girls were competing in Leicester in the nine-a-side event and made it to the last four despite a bad start, which saw them lose their opening two matches.

They bounced back with a draw and two victories.

In the semi-final they faced group winners Stretton Swifts, from Burton.

After going down to a fourth-minute goal, they fought back to earn a draw at the death, only to miss out on penalties.
