Ollie Pinner is leaving Boston Town to join Holbeach United - but says he’ll always stay a fan of the club.
Pinner leaves the DWB Stadium after making 244 appearances for the Poachers since his debut in the 2004/05 season.
He said: “It genuinely upsets me leaving as I feel that’s my last time I’ll be at Boston Town, but at 29 I feel the side that John Chand and Graham Drury are putting together at Holbeach gives me a great chance of winning some silverware while I still have some fuel still in the tank.
“I’ve made some friends for life at Boston and I’ll always be a Boston fan. I wish Nathan, the lads and the chairman Mick Vines all the very best for the future.
“I’d also like to thank the fans who voted me player of the year and also supported me for all those years.”
The versatile performer has turned out in defence, midfield, up front and even as a stand-in goalkeeper during his time at Tattershall Road.
He added: “In my 10 years at Boston I’ve not won anything. The year Holbeach won the title I turned down that offer and I don’t want to make that mistake twice.”
