Ruddock wins top award as referees are promoted

WHISTLEBLOWER Ian Ruddock has been awarded the Maurice Elding Trophy - which is given out by the Boston and District Referees’ Association to the most promising up-and-coming referee each year.

Meanwhile, other officials have been celebrating after being awarded promotions.

Ruddock and Scott Daley have been promoted to Level Six (county referee standard) and James Fairweather, has been promoted to Level Five (senior county referee).

Chris Reeson has been promoted to Level Four (supply league referee), which means he will be operating in the United Counties League next season, aged just 20.

Alistair Wilson has been promoted to Level Three (contributory league referee) and can now officiate up to Blue Square Bet North and South level.
