Judith scoops the Captain's Rose Bowl
A full handicap qualifying stableford competition saw ladies compete for the Captain’s Rose Bowl.
Judith Flevill was the overall winner, carding 38 points.
The Silver winner was Ann Hodgson, who scored 35 points, while Jacquie Short also also returned 35 and was the runner-up on countback.
Chris Needham was third in the section with 34 points.

Hide AdThe Low Bronze section was won by Pam King with 37 points, ahead of runner-up Ann Gullick (35) and third-placed Chris Sherriff (33).
The High Bronze winner was Marian Bavin (34).
Ruth Street (30) was second and Kath Yates (29) came third.
Nearest the Pin winners were Judith Flevill (fifth) and Pam King (14th). Judith also won the Longest Drive for silver down the ninth, while Nearest the Line on the 16th was Barbara Unwin.
Twos were recorded by Hilary Calvert on hole five and Jacquie Short on the 14th.
The Best Back Nine, not in the main prizes, went to Pam Hyde with 17 points.
Hilary Calvert had the Best Front Nine with 20 points.

Hide AdYvonne Shaffarczyk and Ruth Simpson won a pairs betterball event at Boston Golf Club.
Their score of 52 was too strong for runners-up Lady Captain Anne Wallhead and Hilary Calvert, who recorded 47 points.
Elsewhere in the ladies’ section, a friendly match at home against Spalding saw a disappointing result for Boston, going down 3 and 1.
A total of 22 ladies turned out to play for the Bothamley Bowl, which was won by Lynn Worthington.
She had to play off an adjusted handicap of 30.

In second place was Judith Flevill with 36 and Pam King was third a point behind.
Yvonne Shaffarczyk also finished on 35 but ended fourth on countback.
