Boston CC Firsts will be without two key players as they host basement side Moulton Harrox on Saturday.
Captain Tom Baxter is still recovering from injury and bowler Scott Elleray will also be unavailable, replaced by the returning Sam Elliott.
“Obviously Scott will be missed this week, as Sam was last week,” Baxter said.
“The thing that we have shown this year though is that when players are missing, others have stood up and put a shift in to ensure our performance levels do not dip below where they should be.”
Saturday’s top versus bottom clash in the South Lincs and Border League Premier sees the hosts expect just one outcome as they look to move further towards the title.
“They have been missing players and struggling for results recently,” Baxter added.
“They sit at the bottom of the table with only 66 points so far this season.
“We should win the game but we will be approaching it in the same way as we have done every game this year.”
With Sleaford Seconds losing on Saturday, Boston now require 42 points to complete their aim of winning the league.
Baxter (pictured) added: “Forty-two points in four games should happen, but we will continue to approach it one Saturday at a time.”
