Kickboxers scoop medal hauls on the road

Fighters from Boston’s Evolution Martial Arts have fought in the Peterborough Open Championships and the Northants Open Challenge Cup.

In Peterborough, Chelsea Leggatt won three golds with Josh Talbot collecting two first place awards.

Also claiming golds were Mackenzie Warrant and Matt Twitchen, who won the advanced category at his first competition.

Claiming silvers were Talon Chambers, Zac Baldry, Becky Horinhan and Archie Lenton.

Mackenzie Warrant also added a bronze to her tally on the day.

At the Northants Challenge Cup, gold medallists were Matt Twitchen, Riley Brocklesby, Jack Dickinson and Talon Chambers, while Mackenzie Warrant won two golds.

Silver medals were won by Paige Steadman, Matt Twitchen, Jack Dickinson, Josh Talbot and Talon Chambers,.

Bronzes went to Reece Iliffe, Riley Brocklesby, Dean Pelling and Leah Steadman.

Coach Linda Baxter said: “I am very proud of the team, well done everyone.”
