Kickboxer Cally Sutton claimed a silver medal at the WAKO British Championships.
She was one of two members representing the Zen Academy at the event in Birmingham.
Cally earned her place in the final, where her opponent was the reigning WAKO European bronze medalist and also a team GB member.
Even though the nerves and the occasion got the better of Cally a little bit, she managed to force her opponent off the mats with strong combinations on a number of occasions.
Her spirited performance was not quite enough to claim gold but Cally has impressed enough to be invited to link up with the WAKO GB squad to try out for the World and European Championships later this year.
Also in action for Zen was Scott Bemrose who lost his opening fight to a much larger opponent who ended up winning the section.
Bemrose, however, tasted success in a national tournament in Watford, held back in January.
The novice fighter entered a more experienced section to take on intermediate fighters.
And he was in fine form, winning all three of his fights convincingly to become section champion.
