Freiston, Leake and Leverton earned their first victory in the South Lincs and Border League Division Two... beating Grantham Seconds by 10 wickets.

John Goodfellow claimed five wickets as Grantham were dismissed for 89, following captain Rob Sexton’s decision to put Grantham in to bat.

Taimur Mian, Tommy Atkinson and Ollie Booth (two) also claimed wickets.

Freiston reached the winning total of 92 runs without losing a wicket.

Openers Charles Lenton (31) Richard Paul (34) were aided by 27 extras.

On Sunday, a Friendly XI from Freiston LL beat Graves Park by 174 runs.

Sunil Panjwani (70), Zeeshan Saeed (45) and Nitin Joachim (31) helped Freiston to 256-9, while Jack Ashton (three), Stuart Baker (two), Braden Wyeth (two) and Chris King (two) claimed the Park’s wickets.

Graves Park were bowled out for 82, with Chris Clubb’s 23 the only score in double figures.

Umar Farooq (four), John Goodfellow (three), Ollie Booth, Ashok Kumar and Richard Paul took wickets.
