Adam lands a place in £1,000 final

BOSTON anglers have been celebrating success in the lakes and the sea.

SUNDAY’S £1,000 qualifier was fished on the Kestrel Lake, where in-form Adam Wakelin showed his class once again.

Adam fished worm and caster from peg 12 to take a mixed bag of mainly carp and ide.

Results: 1 Adam Wakling, 85lbs 8oz, 2 Gavin Butler 58lbs 2oz, 3 Steve Lane 42lbs, 4 Matt Harben 40lbs 12oz, 5 Jim Harben 39lbs 05oz, 6 Sean Higgingbottom 38lbs, 7 Shane Spafford 37lbs 8oz, 8 Mike Whittaker 37lbs.

Tuesday’s £1,000 qualifier was fished on Skylark Lake, with Alistair Ogalvie 69lbs of small carp, tench, ide and bream.

Results: 1 Alistair Ogalvie 69lbs, 2 Mark Rodgers 54lbs 9oz.

Over 50s Match: 1 Chris Yowne 61lbs 2oz, 2 Ken Clark 52lbs 08oz, 3= Spike Millagan, Brian Thompson 50lbs 4oz.

Fixtures: Thursdays over 50s, draw 10am, 11am-5pm, £6 all in (£10 membership); Sundays £1,000 Qualifier, draw 9am, 10am-4pm, £16; Tuesdays £1,000 Qualifier, draw 10am, 11am-5pm, £11 all in.

Skegness Pier Angling Club

BOSTON’S Mo Fendyke claimed second place in the pairs event at Skegness Pier Angling Club’s Lincolnshire Pairs match.

He teamed up with Roy Parker to claim the Zone A title at Trunch Lane, scoring six points.

The next SPAC match will be held on June 26, from 12.30pm-4.30pm, at Wolla Bank, with club members fishing for the Dodsworth Cup.

There is also an open section, which non-members are welcome to participate in.
