Adriana Peiseniece claimed a silver medal at the Traditional Karate European Children’s Cup.
The six-year-old finished as the runner-up in the individual kata category.
Adriana represents the Traditional Karate Academy Boston, who were also hosting the event.
The third annual event was hosted and organised by Zbigniew Godzisz, chairman of the Boston academy, but held at Peterborough’s Bushfield Leisure Centre.
More than 200 athletes representing the UK, Poland, the Czech Republic, Armenia, Lithuania, Russia and Latvia competed.
And watching on was Sensei Wlodzimierz Kwiecinski, the seventh dan Traditional Karate Federation chairman and mentor or numerous karate athletes in the world.
Also at the event was a demonstration presented by world champions Sensei Daniel Iwanek, (third dan) and Sensei Pawel Janusz (third dan).
Next year’s event will be held in Switzerland.
