Boston ABC’s Adrianna Finch marked her debut in the ring by winning the warm applause of the crowd.

The 15-year-old was competing in a show at Willerby Manor Hotel, hosted by City of Hull ABC last week.

Although nervous beforehand, Adrianna soon found her stride, as did her opponent.

She was facing Bethany Meggitt, another debutant, who was representing the home-town club.

A full house witnessed the two skillful pugilists put on a fantastic display of boxing, which would have been worthy of an award of fight of the night on many shows in the area.

The contest was all action from the first bell to the last.

Both girls displayed solid offensive attacks and clever defensive footwork, mixed with counter punching to keep the audience entertained.

At the final bell of the exhibition contest, the Boston corner were caught up in the moment as their boxer had won the admiration of the appreicative crowd.

The referee, Trevor Pye, congraulated both girls as he had nothing to pull the fighers up on.
