Ann takes home the President’s Tray

The Lady President’s Afternoon was held at Boston Golf Club.

Members of the Ladies’ Section played a full handicap stableford format in perfect conditions, with the President’s Tray up for grabs.

The Overall winner, and taking home the Lady President’s Tray, was Ann Hodgson with 37 points.

Ann saw a drop in her handicap and is now playing off 19.

Prizes for all sections were included and the prize winners were: Longest drive Bronze Division - Pam Bett; Longest drive Silver - Claire Rylott( also winning best guest prize with 29 points); Best Nine Hole Competitor - Kay Kadzionis; High Bronze - 1 Kath Yates 29pts, 2 Marion Bavin 28; Low Bronze - 1 Yvonne Shaffarczyk 35, 2 Ann Gullick 34; Silver Division - 1 Jean Markham 36, 2 Anne Wallhead 32.

The final ladies’ match of the season was played at Boston against Burghley Park, the host team winning 2.5-1.5.

A qualifier for the Australian Spoons a stableford foursomes, with half combined handicaps, was held this week, with the pair returning the best score being entered into the regional final.

Jean Markham and Pam Hyde - with 36 stableford points - were the top pairing.
