Appleby claims pigeon race win

THE fastest bird into Boston in Saturday’s pigeon race from Newton Aycliffe was to the loft of Tim Appleby, of Boston Central RPC.

And that was some compensation for his bad luck in previous weeks.

The in-form partnership of John Hardy and John Burt completed a second successive one-two-three in Boston District Flying Club.
