The fourth Friends of Boston Speedway reunion was held at the Poachers Country Club.

Several former Barracudas travelled long distances at the event, including Dave Allen, Dave Mortiboys, Phil Alderman and Andy Simms.

An original 1970 body jacket donated by then-captain Graham Edmunds was auctioned and was knocked down for £160 to Martin Brooks.

Steve Lomas - the fastest man ever at New Hammond Beck Road - brought along his record-breaking bike, still in its original condition, which created a lot of interest, particularly alongside Pete Seaton’s new F2 machine.

Also attracting plenty of attention was vintage footage of racing in the early 1970s, provided by Mo Brader .

Unfortunately, a number of the regular ex-riders who normally attend were absent due to illness.

Next year’s reunion is scheduled for Saturday, January 2.
