Ballard wins Presidents’ Putter at Boston Golf Club

THE Boston Golf Club Presidents’ Putter was battled out on Sunday morning - with Clive Ballard winning his way through to a good victory with a nett 71.

Clive received the putter from club president Frank Bramwell.

Terry Dawson just missed out in second place (72) and and Harry Payne came third.

The winners of Boston Golf Club’s Texas scramble were Colin Trestrail, Mark Mullenger, Andy Williams and Lee Hallas.

They carded nett 57.2.

Runners-up were Nige Newark, Mick Rennison, Rick Lenton and Paddy Stocks with nett 58.1.

In third, with nett 59.1, were Matt Brackenbury, Rob Brackenbury, Andrew Dawson and Jamie Cox.

Pam Hyde won the Skene Shield last week.

Her score of +1 saw her beat Lois Williamson into second place.
