Fourteen teams have signed up to take part in the Guys v Girls Netball Tournament which will be held at Kirton’s Middlecott Sports Centre on Sunday.

The Kirton Globetrotters, The Bullets, The Sweaty Betties and The Dollies are among the team names taking part in the event - which is pitting the men against the women.

The event is being held to rasie fun for the Alzheimers Society, and is being organised by Clare Kitchen, Rachel Leech, Laura Akers, Kate Atterby and Ellen McGarel - five friends who will also be scaling Ben Nevis through the night next month to raise further funds for the charity.

As well as the netball tournament, Sunday’s event will also include a family fun day with plenty of entertainment for all the family... including an inflatable assault course and other infalatable games and face painting for kids.

The event - which is sponsored by the Middlecott Sports Centre and SM Kent Roofing and Building Supplies - begins at 10am and runs until 4pm.
