BEN Wilson is looking to force his way back up the British Supersport Championships rider standings this weekend.
He will travel to Oulton Park in Cheshire for the second visit of the current campaign in round six.
He presently lies fifth in the overall rider standings.
At his previous visit back in May, Wilson, from Kirton, scored a brace of second places.
A similar result this time around would be acceptable – although ideally he is looking for the first win of the season on the Gearlink Kawasaki Supersport machine.
This year the competition is very tough and, subsequently, Wilson has yet to step onto the top step of the podium.
He said: “I really do need to get a win under my belt, and with Oulton Park being one of my more favoured circuits, perhaps this is the time for me to secure my first win of the season.
“We have been there or thereabouts all year but so far the wins haven’t come my way.
“I will be going all out to change this at the weekend and if things go to plan I will move back into the top three in the rider standings.”
There are two free practice sessions on Friday, ahead of the solitary qualifying laps which are set to take place on Saturday morning at 10.15am.
The sprint race, over 10 laps of the Cheshire circuit, is due to commence at 4pm on Saturday, and the 15-lap Feature race is scheduled to start at 3.45pm on Sunday.
