IT WAS a weekend of personal bests for the Lincolnshire Athletics Academy - based at Boston’s Princess Royal Sports Arena.

At the York Open meeting on Saturday, PBs were achieved by Kaine Walker (under 15 200m), Rosie Marshall (under 15 300m), David Mitchell (men’s 200m and 400m), Lukasz Bezulski (under 20 200m and 400m), Roy Monksfield under 15 200m and 400m), Michael Craven (under 17 800m), Daniel Patterson (under 17 1,500m) and Sam Smith (under 15 800m).

Representing Lincolnshire in the Inter-Counties Championships at Bedford on Monday, Bernice Wilson came second in the 100m sprint to Jodie Williams. Of the seven athletes reppresenting the county on Sunday and Monday, four were trained by LAA coach Dr George Skafidas, county team captain.

The other three were Richard Reed, Jacob Axtell and Alex Pycock.
