Colin – and passenger Carl Pugh - will be competing in the International Lincolnshire Poacher Longtrack event at Wainfleet in August... but the club are celebrating the news that they will be hosting one of the continents top meetings on the same day.

The UEM 500cc Solo Final will be hosted by Wainfleet and District Sporting Mototrcycle Club on August 27 and 28.

There are three qualifying events yet to be held in Germany, France and Holland, meaning that the final line-up for the European event is yet to be confirmed, although the top current riders in the continent will be sure to make the start.

The Poacher will also boast the usual top entry of solos and awesome 1,000cc sidecars.

Organiser Reg Blackbourn said: “We are proud to announce the Euro Solo Final in conjunction with the International Lincolnshire Poacher Longtrack.

“We don’t know the rider line-up for the UEM Final until they qualify but you can be assured the quality will be top notch.

“It is only the third time this has been run in England, the first time back in1978.”

Anyone interested in sponsoring parts of the event can contact Reg on 01754 880659 or Ivan Wright on 01754 820481.
