Sam Booth has been crowned a county squash champion.
Despite only taking up the sport a couple of years ago, the 12-year-old triumphed in the Lincolnshire Junior Squash Championships on Saturday.
Playing in Cleethorpes, Sam was in top form to defeat rival Benjamin Smith in the final of the under 13s age category.
Sam did well to claim the title considering he had been involved in an energy-sapping semi-final previously.
It took almost an hour of action for him to defeat defending champion William Brayshaw in a hard-fought semi-final.
However, he held his nerve to win 3-2.
In all, Sam - from Swineshead - won three matches to be crowned the Yellowbelly champion.
Sam was representing Boston Squash and Racketball Club.
