Boxer Nina Bradley recorded a determined victory over Jess Stones when she fought at Ludlow Race Course Leisure Centre.
The Boston ABC competitor gave a masterly performance to outscore and dominate her opponent from start to finish.
The super-charged Bostonian hunted down the local lass from the first bell.
And the few in-roads Stones made through Bradley’s defence lacked power, so much so that Bradley could turn down the gas in the final round to still comfortably see her arm raised.
However, there was no joy for two Boston boxers in Leicester this weekend.
Nick Staples and Aaron Johnson suffered defeats to home-town fighters.
Singh Korama proved more of a threat with his longer reach as he defeated Staples.
He left telling blows without leaving himself exposed to the counter punch.
After Staples took too many shots in the second round, the referee called a halt to proceedings.
Leicester’s Mark Williams hung on to the gains he earned in the opening exchanges against Johnson.
The Boston lad struggled to get his act together, with missed shots being countered by Williams landing blows.
Johnson fared a lot better in the final round, but it was Williams who took the verdict.
The trio will be among the Boston ABC fighters showing off their skills at the Round Table-organised Boston Show at the Princess Royal Sports Arena on Saturday, with plenty of boxing action.
Tickets cost £10 and the door opens at 7pm.
